A man made disaster, a global sport and gadgets starting with an “i”, have been dominating the news as 2010 made a gracious exit, while the Chinese calendar ushers in the year of the metal rabbit ending along the year of the portentous tiger. Like the tiger known for living dangerously, Erros faced 2010 with a unique bravery and courage reflective of the perilous animal. 2010 was highly considered a period of transitions and adjustments that people are facing a reality of having to give up on things. Howbeit, Erros on his part, remained resilient and subsequently his gutsy strategic action was profoundly rewarded. Having back to back to back successes for putting up not just two but three current collections in one year was a monumental accomplishment for any other fashion designer of his time. The premier of his ' FOURSEASONSCOLLECTION' was genuinely well applauded, elevating the “Quest for Mr. Infinity “ to a level a classy male model search was envisioned to be. And in one rare occasion, the fashion industry and the feisty environmentalist were cheerfully extolling his ecologically friendly 'PULPCOLLECTION', fortuitously adding glamor and glitz to an auspicious 2nd year staging of the celebrated ' Men of Erros.' Though commercially lackluster due to vis major or circumstances beyond one's control, the ' YINYANGCOLLECTION' became the most critically acclaimed and most admired collation to date, latterly paving the way to his special participation in this year's Grand Bridal Shower Party held at the renowned One Esplanade. Commissioned to create gold and silver neck pieces to compliment Greco-Roman inspired pristine white men's swimsuits, his fusible stannic lavalieres were one-of-a-kind stellar statement pieces explicitly amplifying masculine attributes to each of the twelve gorgeous calendar men who haughtily wore them to the delight of expectant brides to be.
November may be the 11th month of the year, but for Erros... certainly not an 11th -hour ditch for showcasing his boundless creations. The YINYANGCOLLECTION bar tour was in high gear with Palawan 2 E-bar hosting the much anticipated rerun, when Madame Loi of the illustrious Loi Villarama Event Management dropped by to personally confirm his collaboration with this year's GRAND BRIDAL SHOWER PARTY's swimwear runway show. Undoubtedly thrilled though fretful at short notice, he unhesitatingly summon his prolific juice to exquisitely spun gold and silver neckpieces to complement this year's “ Greco-Roman Holiday” theme to be worn by no less than 12 of metro's choicest high-end male models. Noted for featuring the country's peerlessly gorgeous male models in a simulated pre nuptial shower party, the 2010 GBSP was definitely one of the biggest and most attended charity events of the year. During the event's finale, Erros was visibly beaming with pride as each and every model strutted the capacious ONE ESPLANADE runway in trunks and thongs with his impeccably made fastidious neck frills. “ Made especially luxurious!! “, “ Chic without loosing sophistication!!”, “ Each piece has a life in its moment!!”, were among a lot of positive feedback he received at the show's end.
Without a doubt the last quarter of 2010 brought forth monumental career milestones for Erros. Fresh from a triumphant staging of this year's Men of Erros, a formidable yet grandiose venture to percolate mainstream dernier cri with the vaulting rendition of his au courant collection, the Yinyang ensemble, launched at the famed Bliss Ultraclub, QC (10/1/2010). Undaunted and fearlessly resolute in spite of unforeseen setbacks due to tempestuous weather infirmity, the show's moderately successful delivery created quite a stir not only in the local fashion industry but conspicuously amongst Metro-Manila's entertainment turfs. Barraged with a plethora of proffers, Erros and his team must impetuously weigh in their options which “E”-bars to sift out to manifest this much sought out collection next. Inspired by this modest success and possible tie in with ventures, team Erros was consummately conceived. Enduringly rock solid behind his artistic endeavors, this hearty iron-willed trio turned zealously fervent allies constitute the quintessential Team Erros. Mr. Teddy O. spearheads the talent recruitment-placement berth; Neil T's savvy photography niche is with print and visuals while Randy S' air and self-assured charisma augurs well with promotions and publicity hype. With their combined effort, ERROS MULTIMEDIA INC. was born, indubitably instigated by emerging technology and the quadrumvirate's creative and aesthetic imagination unmistakably sparked by today's electronically delivered global mania.
Seasonal rains seemed to be a usual backdrop to the bustling metro scenery especially at this time of the year. But last Friday's downpour was downright preternatural, literally a show stopper in every sense, hurrying off text messages of concern from Erros' avid followers and invited reverent names in the insular fashion industry who were either stuck and snagged in a gridlocked traffic jam or simply bogged down and stranded someplace else. This however, did not stifle the young designer's spirit, who was all chafed and determine not to let anything rain down on his parade. Roused and enheartened by the presence of all his chosen models who turned up and braved the unforgiving rain and floods all soggy and drenched, Erros fiercely averred the show must go on. In good time, with a handful of covetous fans and guests the 'yinyang' panoply kicked off en masse with the black ensemble of mundane victorian and cosmopolitan pieces aptly styled and frilled to a T. Soon after, like chess pawns, the immaculate white pieces mutedly advanced, all quitely apparent and eye-catching than their murky counterparts and distinctly naughty and erotic as Erros envisioned them to be. Unanticipatedly, a sudden influx of guests ( a mix of 'errosfanatics' and bar regulars ) feasibly brought by improved atmospheric condition briefly halted the spectacle. Egged on by a now SRO crowd, Erros acquiesced to reboot the show from its entirety. The visibly delighted in-crowd ravishingly returned this magnanimous gesture by applauding relishly to each and every number 'till the show's romantic finale brought the whole house down. “ Each piece was special and done luxuriously” “ Erotically interesting yet chic without losing its sophistication” “ Variety yet singular ... each piece was very good on its own” - all candid comments from this visibly mixed crowd but certainly sweet music to this budding designer's ears whose stars are undeniably in a wonderful and punctilious fashion tragectory.
